Usage and footprint 2022

This year we are once again busy with the CO2 performance ladder. This means that we have now been able to draw up our CO2 footprint for the year 2022. In this article, we would like to inform you about the progress of the CO2 performance ladder and provide insight into our CO2 footprint.

After compiling and calculating our total consumption of energy and fuel, we have converted this into tons of CO2. This amounts to 41.46 tons of CO2. This is the amount of CO2 we will have emitted with our work in 2022. Most of this comes from fuel consumption. This is 8,112 liters of diesel, or 26.41 tons of CO2 emissions. Furthermore, 11,726 KWh, or 53.47 tons of CO2 was spent on electricity.

Reductiongoals 2023

We have set reduction targets for the year 2023. These involve a reduction over the whole of 2023 of 2% CO2 emissions compared to the base year of 2022.

This reduction is measured by the amount of CO2. In this way, a fair comparison can be made.

As things stand, we are on track to achieve our proposed reduction target by 2023.

Measures

Over the past year, we have drawn up and implemented several measures. By keeping track of these measures, we can achieve our reduction target.

Some of these measures have already been implemented in the past six months:

  • Increase awareness among our employees
  • Purchase newer and greener vehicles
  • Regularly checking tire-pressure

A number of measures are still planned for the next six months, we will also keep track of the measures already implemented.

The following measures will still be implemented or will continue:

  • Switch to green energy
  • Installing movement sensors in order to prevent lights from being left on unnecessarily.
