Biogas Holland has delivered a new biogas plant to Waterschap Rivierenland at RWZI Tiel. In addition to the installation and commissioning of a gas holder, flare installation and condensation facility, a CHP (Combined Heat and Power) and a central heating boiler were also supplied. The entire project was carried out on behalf of Besix.
This innovative project focuses on minimal energy consumption and maximum yield of biogas. The existing fermentation tank has been converted and expanded with a new tank and the existing gas holder has been demolished. Subsequently, Biogas Holland took care of the engineering, delivery, installation and commissioning of a new 2G CHP unit, gasholder, central heating boiler, piping and heat distribution. Biogas Holland also took care of inerting the system. Optimization of the sludge line has increased energy production with a CHP.
